Homework

We want to make homework FUN in Kindergarten.  Homework should not be a burden on you or your child, but rather a school-to-home connection that reviews skills learned in class and gives your family some valuable quality time as well.

 

In keeping with this, children should be reading, or be read to, for at least 15 minutes every day.  I am also including an activities calendar for your child.  Each calendar will include fun activities for your child to complete independently or with the family.  I hope that you will enjoy this time playing with your child.  Thank you for assisting them with activities that reinforce what they are learning at school.

 

Homework will be sent home in a homework folder.  We will check it every week.  Please note that while reading is required, the activities calendar is not.  I may also send home additional work for students that may need extra practice.
